My son Jake turned 1 year old on September 30, 1999 and he will be the focus of this week.  He has grown very quickly in one year, much like many of the plants I've photographed, and is on his way to being a Big Boy.  One of the lessons I've learned through photography is the way it can transform my perception of time and help to slow ones experience down.  Taking pictures of plants and my son has been a rewarding comparison.
